Grantmaking History
The Women's Giving Alliance makes grants in four Fields of Interest. Individual grants often leverage additional support from funding partners. Including this additional support, WGA, commissioned a major research project on the status of women and girls in Northeast Florida and channeled over $1.5 million to 28 agencies for programs serving this target population.
Note: Grants are designated by the year in which they are awarded; evaluation takes place during the year[s] in which a program is operating with WGA support. Thus, a 2005 one-year grant refers to activities conducted and evaluated in 2006. Discretionary grants are an exception to this rule; often time-sensitive, they typically are completed in the year in which the grants are awarded; agencies/programs then submit final reports for review by the Evaluation Team co-leaders.
