About Women's Giving Alliance's Research Efforts
One of the principles that guides WGA's grantmaking is to use community research to develop priority initiatives. To that end, the Community Research Team (one of three Grants Committee teams) is charged with ongoing research regarding critical issues and needs that impact the status of women and girls. Each year, the team selects one or more new arenas to investigate and determine if there are opportunities to direct future WGA grants to address these needs.

The following information highlights the WGA-funded five-county research on the status of women and girls as well as overviews of research on three issues (Infant Mortality, Aging Out of Foster Care, and Girls in the Juvenile Justice System) that WGA is currently funding.
